blizzaster 2011!

here are some pictures i took before, during, and after the blizzard of 2011. 

 the night before the main storm.  it snowed a few inches.  the streets were kept pretty clear.  

 mid-afternoon the snow started to come down quickly.  commuters attempted to get home quickly.  streets started to jam up.  cars were backed up on the street in front of our condo.  

 mid-blizzard.  streets were snow covered and there were very few cars on the road.  plows couldn't keep the streets clear due to the heavy snow.

 the next morning.  streets were covered with inches of snow.  

 car is completely buried!

 standing in lake shore drive.  LSD was closed aside from the many tow trucks recovering the hundreds of abandoned cars from the previous night.  

 a park near the lake.  as you can see the snow was up to the bench of the table.  and this wasn't a drift!

the snow was at the bottom of the swings!  again, not drifts!  

it was amazing to experience the blizzard of 2011!!
