gelukkige verjaardag aan mij

g and i had some excellent luck rearranging our work schedule next month.  in moving trips around, we ended up having the week of dec 5-9 off completely.  we talked about going somewhere but then just dropped it.  well, some cosmic force must have been telling us to go somewhere because i got an email from living social escapes for an amazing deal in amsterdam!

for once, i had to do the convincing that we should take this quick trip to amsterdam.  okay, so maybe i played the birthday card, but regardless it worked!  we're flying out on december 4, arriving the next day and staying until thursday!

i'm very excited as this is my first trip to the netherlands!  i definitely want to see the anne frank house, dam square, the church of st. nicholas (since the feast day will be dec. 6 while we're there!), the christmas markets, and anything else we have time for!  a canal tour is included in our trip, too!
