20/20 days away!

tonight will be the last time that i leave contact solution all over the bathroom sink. tomorrow will be the last time that i ever put contacts in my eyes. i will be donning spectacles for 14 days after. then, it's the day i've been waiting for for years. i will undergo prk corrective eye surgery. while the recuperation period is slightly longer than i hoped for, knowing that i will wake up with perfect eyesight will be a dream come true!

no more expensive eye solution, no more bedtime glasses for late night tv, no more ordering contacts. no more waking up with blurry vision!!!!!!

vicious circle?

i just lost precious minutes of my life that i will never get back...again. i watched dane cook's hbo special.

to me, he's that annoying guy in high school. yes, that one that's extremely obnoxious. you're asking yourself if he forgot to take his add medicine that day. he's looking for attention, hoping people will laugh at his jokes. unable to finish a story because his small mind is running in coked-out circles.

on his behalf though - he is unbelievably hot.

whilst in london....

after spending a long weekend in london, i have a few questions:

  • why do british notes start at 5 pounds?
  • why do the british eat brown sauce on everything?
  • why do the british drive on the left side of the street but inevitably walk on the right side of the sidewalks?
  • why do british boys insist on jumping on tables and showing their bare asses and penises at the pub?
  • why does the tube stop running shortly after midnight?
  • why does it take 45 minutes to find a taxi at 1am?
  • why do their christmas trees look differently than ours?
  • why do you have to take a running leap to get into the bathtub?
  • why do they call shrimp prawns?
  • why do you not have to tip at pubs?

regardless of any of these answers, i do not care. i want to move there. now.

fine! i'm a fool!!

i'm a procrastinator. always have been, probably always will be. i used to always say that i work best under pressure. i'm starting to not buy that excuse anymore. now, stress, ulcers, and wine are more common.

we leave for london on thursday. here's my current to-do list:

  • write sub plans for friday
  • write sub plans for monday
  • finish (more like start) progress reports - due thursday
  • grade math tests (before progress reports)
  • grade reading homework
  • get haircut
  • pack
i think i'm going to go pour myself a glass of wine.
