census 2010

i just completed my 2010 census that came in the mail today. it took all of about 5 minutes to fill in my name and gary's and how we are related ('unmarried partner' in the eyes of the u.s. department of commerce economics and statistics adminstration, u.s. census bureau).

i know that it's important for many reasons, but it seems like a waste of paper. how accurate is it really? i can see many people just throwing them in the trash. and i love how last week i received a letter stating that i should expect my census in the mail the following week. do i really need a letter to tell me that it's on its way?!

oh well, i guess i did my part, right?
