10 things about emerson

though emerson was in our lives for a short 10 months, he was an important part of our family.  there will be countless memories we have of our little guy forever.  we're deeply saddened that he is gone much too soon.

 1.  he was a cute little guy when he came home with us.  he had a tiny little
head and then an ever-expanding body as he grew up.

2.  ems could usually be found curled up in his favorite blanket or his soft
     bed.

3.  emerson had many favorite "nap spots".  one of the first he places
he found to take a snooze was on the soft dining room chairs.

4.  ems was a LOVER...and then some!  he wasn't afraid of stangers!  instead he would curl up on anyone's lap!

5.  although we would always tease that he was part-dog (for his notorious
fetch skills) he was a dainty little thing!  he would often be found resting
     with his paws crossed.

 6.  he was pretty easy-going.  he never had a problem sitting (upright) for a
      quick mani/pedi from his papi!

7.  em was the FIRST thing you would see in the morning.  he almost knew
when you opened your eyes and would be right there to say "good
     morning"!

 8.  emerson wasn't too fond that his daddies were gone all the time.
he knew when we were going to be leaving, and sights like this
weren't uncommon!  but he knew we would always be coming
home for him and he would always greet us with a loud purr at
      the door!

9.  in one of his favorite comfy spots, em would watch everything
that was going on around the house.  he could see into our
bedroom, the living room, dining room and who might be
coming in the front door.  with his head perched over the top, he
was always ready to come say hi!

10.  the final photo that we have of emerson.  we are eternally grateful to
his amazing caretakers while we were gone during em's last few days.
we're going to miss this little guy more than we can ever explain.  he
turned g into a "crazy cat guy" and gave me the comfort and security
       that completed our home.

rest peacefully, dear em.  we'll miss you.

i thought this was a nice tribute (idea taken from teresa to honor her dear mason) to our furry little loved one.  and thanks teresa for your kind words.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I only met him once, but remember him fondly. No matter how long, or briefly, animals share our lives, they do change us...for good.
