blossoming lilly

our adorable niece lilly turned 6 (going on 16) last month and we made the drive to indiana to attend her birthday party.  we're very grateful that we're so close that we can be there for the many things in lilly and anderson's lives.

lilly is a very grown up six-year old, from the way that she talks to the way that she acts.  it's cute, funny, and annoying all at the same time.  of course we love her all the same!  ;)

a couple weeks later we made the drive back to indiana to attend her first ballet and tap recital.  though the little girls look precious in their costumes and (over-done) make-up, the two hour performance was pure torture.  parents may say that the dances are so sweet and cute, but if they were honest they'd admit that were downright dreadful.  but nonetheless, we were there and that's what mattered most.  before we left for the recital, we got some pictures with the ballerina.
