more work

working with friends is always better and with our newest aircraft that means more friends to work with!  recently i had a trip with three of my friends.  we had a baltimore overnight (eh) and a looong philly overnight.  we stay downtown in philly, close to anything and everything.  this particular night was the last night crews stayed at the le meridien.  the hotel is super posh.  it is a former YMCA and they renovated it into a very sleek and modern hotel.  (i must be honest, i love a hotel that has real wine glasses in the room.)

once we checked in we quickly went out to enjoy the beautiful mid-70 summer day.  the hotel staff told us about a great mexican restaurant with outdoor seating.  we made our way to el vez and found ourselves at a table streetside in the middle of philly.  we had fabulous margaritas, guac, and a variety of tasty entrees.  after enjoying ourselves there for a couple of hours we made our way down the street to woody's.  ask any gay in philly where they recommend going and woody's would be at the top of their list.  it used to be a dark bar with an upstairs dance floor.  now it is a wide open bar on the lower level with hardwood floors, windows that open up to the street, and outside seating.  i thought it was a completely different place when we arrived!  we sat outside for a while, enjoying cold beverages and people watching.  two of our friends decided to go back to the hotel, but my friend rob and i stayed (influenced a bit by the fact the doorman was flirting with him! lol).

the next day rob and i made our way to reading terminal market for lunch.  we walked around for nearly 30 minutes before we finally made our decision on what delicious booth to eat at!  we opted for some good ol' amish cooking!  i had a turkey melt that was amazing!  before we left we picked up some cookies for our flight back (and i got g a piece of pumpkin roll, one of his favorites!).  that place is filled with so much good food!  if i lived in philly i would shop there for all my fresh produce every week!

it was a great trip and the fact that i got to work on our newest, nicest aircraft with three friends made it that much more enjoyable!  sometimes i feel guilty for getting paid to travel to great cities and have so much fun with friends!
