i tend to avoid michigan avenue during the holiday season. it's just a cluster and i loathe all the tourists downtown, stopping in the middle of the sidewalks to look around. when i'm shopping along the magnificent mile, i'm there to get what i need and then get on my way. but, i can't help but going downtown at least one time to do some christmas shopping. i get pulled into the merriment of the season, looking at all the lights and window decorations and listening to the countless christmas songs. while there are many scrooges that can ruin the experience, most shoppers and workers are cheerful and caught in the holiday spirit.
so today is my day to venture downtown and do some holiday shopping! i'm going to bundle up with my scarf wrapped tightly around my neck, jump on the bus that will drop me off in the middle of the magnificent mile, and spread some holiday cheer in the form of shopping!
