it's tuesday and i have quite a few things to bitch about! again, it lies with my job and the little things that people do to irritate the piss out of me! unfortunatly, my life is consumed with six-year olds and colleague annoyances for ten months out of the year. sorry to bore some...
it's lunch time. well, almost lunch time. i do my best to get us out the door about five minutes before the lunch period actually begins. not so we can be first in line and have a longer lunch time, but to prevent us from having to enhale our food in 7.24 minutes. you see, our class gets lunch in the 'outside line' along with the second graders. if the two second grade classes get to the lunchroom before us, we wait a long time and have little time to eat. it's a fact: it takes first graders a longer time to eat due to opening milk, opening ketchup, and figuring out exactly how to use the spork. so today, i see one of the second grade classes RUSHING down the hallway to get in front of us. she was FIVE minutes early! i was irked! how do i say something to her about this???
now it's my prep. i have a stack of things to copy. today, unlike most days, i need one of the papers for TODAY. (i like to make my copies a week in advance). so i take my stack down to the copier where i find one of the assistants hogging the copier. "do you have alot of copies?", i ask. "yep. lots. i'm copying the school newsletter for all the classes." fabulous. great. "how long do you think you'll be?" i ask, hoping for a small amount of time to get my copies made. "oh, at least 15 minutes more." excellent. sarcasm. "sorry!" he says to me. "yah," i reply. isn't there another time of the day you can do this? how about during your 30 minute lunch period? your 30 minute break? the 30 minutes you spend reading the paper? you have alot more free time than my forty quick minutes a day to get everything accomplished. UGH!
is it friday yet?
