ch ch ch chia!

it's the pottery that grows!   you know the commercial and you know the look of the furry, terracotta figurine.  it all started in 1982 with the chia ram.  then there were the chia bull, puppy, kitten, and tree followed by numerous other animals.  and twenty years after the start of the chia products, we started to see cartoon characters growing the bright green chia.

but joseph enterprises, inc., the makers of the chia products, didn't stop there.  did you know there's an entire proud to be an american chia series?  that's right - you can get your own chia liberty, chia lincoln, and chia washington.  and now, part of the series includes the chia obama, representing peace, hope, and prosperity.  for the low price of $19.99 and $7.95 S&H, you can grow your own chia obama.  you can hail to the ch-ch-ch-chief every morning as you watch barack's afro grow!  you can choose between two editions: happy and determined.  the campaign slogan "yes we can" will be on every chia obama, regardless of facial expression.

but, to my chicago friends, you may have a hard time finding chia obama on the store shelves, as many walgreens have pulled them because they are "objectionable".

What's wrong with people indeed. (I laughed so hard at "ch-ch-ch-chief".)
