one of the perks of my job is staying in various cities where i can visit friends. i've had a long overnight in RDU, rented a car, and drove down to charlotte to have dinner with teresa. last summer i had a night in tucson where anna was able to drive down from phoenix. i have had a trip to boston where andrea was able to fly out and join me. and last night was no different when i had a long visit to indy where i was able to meet two of my dearest friends; anna, one of my longtime friends from HS and college, and steve, my former college roommate.
we met up downtown indy after both anna and steve got off work. we met at kilroys' indianapolis location, but a bar that is an IU bloomington institution. we had a great time, telling stories from high school and college. we enjoyed long island iced tea mini-pitchers, the infamous drink at kilroys. it's funny how you can just pick up where you left off with some friends.
sometimes i miss those carefree and fun college days. but while they may be gone, i have the friends and memories to take me back.

i miss those carefree days, too! but i'm so glad to have close friends and to be able to go back to bloomington this weekend!
