let it be known that i'm not a huge fan of las vegas. i'm not a gambler (because i tend to lose constantly) and the vegas crowd can be quite obnoxious. we both made our way to vegas early thursday morning. arriving at 8am local, we were obviously unable to check into our hotel room. instead we left our bags with the valet and walked around the strip. after a couple hours wasting time (and freezing....yes, freezing) walking up and down the strip, we were finally able to get into our room. we both decided that a nap was in order. once we woke up, we headed to the pool to check out what was going on. we ended up grabbing a couple chairs, a couple cocktails, and did some excellent people watching.
later in the evening we headed back to our room where we planned to take a short nap before heading to dinner. well.....we woke up at 3am. determined to make the most of vegas, we got up and headed down to the casino. only to run into this woman (of the night) in our hallway. having no shame at all, steven of course said hello and began to make polite conversation with the young lady. meanwhile i'm attempting to snap as many photos as possible. in the short elevator ride, we learn that a perspective client only offered her $50 and she was well worth at least $200. ooohhhhh vegas you don't disappoint with your plethora of crazies.
day 2 we slowly get up, grab lunch and make our way to the pool. we nearly have to fight for chairs, but are able to find some people leaving. afternoon cocktails commence. we hang out poolside, slide down the waterslide, and eventually head back up to our room. there i decide to take a quick one hour nap. well....again i sleep longer than planned and wake up at 10pm. steven has already enjoyed his buffet dinner. this has quickly become the laziest vegas vacation ever. i rally and we go out for a few drinks before returning to the casino where i win $60 by putting in a mere ten dollars. i'm smart enough to stop before i lose it all! happy to have made back my gambling winnings (that's right, i spent $50 and won $50), i headed to the room to pack before i had to wake up to head back to the airport for my early morning flight.
all in all it was a good trip. steven and i plan to meet up in vegas again next year for the real 10-year reunion of our college trip. maybe erin could join us like back in 2002?!?! so my sin city reunion ended up being quite angelic with many hours sleeping. i'm proud to say there was nothing that happened in vegas that needed to stay there!

Wow! I don't think I have ever heard of anyone getting MORE sleep in Vegas than they do at home.
